The Thankfulness of Alex and God’s Provision for the Men in C.I.M.
Judas’ House Ministry has the unique privilege of ministering to men incarcerated at multiple institutions in California, including California Institute for Men (C.I.M.), located in Chino. As it currently stands, Californian prison ministries are almost all led by Pentecostal or mainline evangelical churches. Judas’ House is blazing the trail in California in regards to Reformed Christian ministry. Many of the incarcerated men who have been recipients of our ministry had no idea what reformed Christianity even was, and were surprised by the structure and presentation of reformed teaching. While they had no prior knowledge of it, many fell in love with it as they began to see the amazing depth and richness of sound theology and biblically based teaching. One of those men, Alex Cantu wrote a letter to our ministry expressing gratitude and asking for a greater amount of support for him and the other incarcerated believers. The following is the transcription of his letter and we hope you are encouraged by his faithfulness as well as the fruits of our ministry.

To Judas House Ministries/Reformed Prison Ministries,
My name is Alejandro (Alex) Cantu, an inmate here at C.I.M. in Chino C Yard. I was writing this letter first of all to say glory and honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and to his marvelous gospel message of salvation. Second I want to say what a blessing it is not just to me, but to my fellow brothers here on the yard to have a brother/elder like James Anguiano to take his time to come here and be a servant to us, we have a hungry group here on the yard that heavily desire to be fed correct doctrine, and that desire to be part of a sound church, so we thank you for the blessing of James and we thank God’s sovereign hand in providing his service at the right moment and in his due time. We do desire and pray that God provide more workers from the reformed church to speak to the men in prison, because I speak for myself, and I believe many others in the CDCR system, listening, and being sent these preachers/pastors that preach Arminian and even worse prosperity gospel teachers coming into the prisons teaching men that God wants to bless us with all our desires, yet many of us aren’t getting out…
…I’ve seen plenty of people fall away because of these “promises” that these false teachers keep making. So we need more people like James to flood these yards with sound doctrine and material that will edify these men in truth. Please pray with us that God will raise men like James, to conquer these yards, and we keep pointing to Edovo and to our fellow brothers like R.C. Sproul, J.I. Packer, John Piper, Lloyd Jones, etc. But we also need physical material as well to edify the church, so if any help can be provided this would be highly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
